The winner in the competition for the title of the "Best Kalininskaya NPP safety culture unit" became the turbine hall №1. Memorial sign "For commitment to a safety culture" to the best division was handed by the Kalininskaya NPP chief engineer Victor Sushko during operational meeting on 25 September.

"Ensuring the safety is the main task of all plant personnel. This year, the staff of the plant turbine  showed an example of effective solutions during their work, "- said the chief engineer.

The winner was assessed in terms of occupational safety, fire safety for the current year, production discipline, the results of inspections and internal audits, the development division of good practices and a number of other factors.

In the first stage of the competition winners in their groups were: Group 1 - turbine hall №1, Group 2 - centralized repair shop, group 3 - decontamination shop, group 4 - Department of Information and Communication Technologies. By the total score of the two stages of the competition the first place was confidently won by the turbine hall №1.

The contest "The best division of the Kalininskaya NPP safety culture" was held for the second time, it is intended to increase the security operation of nuclear power stations, to improve the system of the safety culture at the plant.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
