On August 24 at 6 h. 31 min. the power unit No. 4 of the Kalininskaya nuclear station is switched on in a network after carrying out repair work on the generator equipment.

The power unit was stopped on August 12 according to the permitted request submitted to JSC «Rosenergoatom Concern». Repair on elimination of the generator gas thinness has been carried out in a work progress.

As of 8.00 o’clock August 26 there are four power units of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant in work. Their total loading constitutes 4172 MWt.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
