The Kalininskaya NPP: the first power unit will be stopped for scheduled maintenance on April 11

The Kaliniskaya NPP power unit №1 will be stopped for planned medium repairs on April 11, 2015.

Among the major works it is planned to repair high pressure cylinder with modernization HPC edging; tu proceed replacement of high pressure heaters; to do average repair of the generator; refueling.

Works will be performed by the maintenance and engineering staff of the station and contractors’ representatives.

There are four power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP at the moment. The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
