Among the winners of the open public competition of the Fund for Assistance to municipalities’ development "Association of NPPs’ location areas", which works for development and implementation of social projects at municipalities of nuclear power plants’ location areas, there are three projects from Udomlia district. This is a project of the Tver Regional Art Gallery branch "Center of Culture and Art Dacha "The Seagull" named after artist V.K. Byalynitsky-Biruli" -  "Upgrading of lighting systems at Dacha "The Seagull"". Also there are projects of veteran organization of the Kalininskaya NPP to restore park complex "Lubenkino" and to establish a billiard club for pensioners among the winners.

Priorities of the national nuclear industry are not limited by solutions of technical and operational issues. Improving the quality of employees’ lives and their family members, residents of the territories where nuclear facilities are located, maintaining a comfortable social environment in the territories of nuclear industry objects are not less important activities. Solution of social vector tasks finds its incarnation in real projects, in particular, through an open public competition of socially significant projects among non-profit organizations. Competition financially support projects with bright initiatives, which are important for the development of municipalities of NPPs’ location.

In 2015, 169 projects was announced for participation in the competition . As the first deputy General Director of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" D. Tkebuchava noticed, summing up consideration of applications, there are 36 projects recommended for the implementation: "A special feature this year is that the tender commission has allocated large projects that will accumulate the efforts of nuclear power stations, authorities and the public for their implementation".

Assessing the results of the contest, the director of the Kalininskaya NPP Mikhail Kanyshev noted the importance of winning projects for region Udomelsky: "We are committed to support the efforts of organizations to restore historic monuments of cultural heritage in the region. This is a great happiness that there are places which have its warmth and its undeniably delicate paintings as the Dacha "The Seagull" or park Lubenkino, which opens the forgotten pages of the historical record ".

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
