The Kalininskaya NPP: power unit №4 restarted after repairs

Power unit №4 of the Kalininskaya NPP was restarted after a complex of works on the replacement of damaged phase of block transformer on May 14, 2015, at 23:47. According to dispatcher’s schedule, capacity of the the block is 750 MW as of 8:30 am on May 15.

There are four power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP. The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
