The Kalininskaya NPP: power unit №3 unplugged from the network as it had been planned

Power unit №3 of the Kalininskaya NPP was unplugged as it had been planned by the application previously agreed in the prescribed manner with the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" on May 20, 2015 at 5 hours 55 minutes. Stop in the work of the power unit is connected with the elimination  of problems in the block transformer equipment.

There are no violations of limits and conditions of equipment’s safe operation.

There are three power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP at the moment. The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
