The Kalininskaya NPP: power unit №3 disconnected from the network to perform repair of generator stator

The power unit №3 was disconnected from the network to perform repair of the generator stator by request agreed in the prescribed manner with the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" and the system operator on February 16, 2015 of the Kalininskaya NPP.

Works are being carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the OJSC "Power Machines» to ensure stable operation of the generator of the power unit №3 before scheduled maintenance in 2016.

There are no violations of limits and conditions of safe operation.

There are three power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP at the moment. The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
