Veteran organization of the Kalininskaya NPP (the Kalininskiy branch MOOVK "REA") for the third year in a row won the annual competition among veterans organizations of the Concern "Rosenergoatom".

Results of the competition for the best veteran organization at the Concern were summed up at the XI reporting conference of the Interregional public organization of "Rosenergoatom" veterans (MOOVK "REA"), which was held in Moscow on 2 and 3 April. The purpose of the contest is to maintain the initiative and creativity of regional veterans' offices.

The Kalininskaya NPP veteran organization has become a leader in three of the five nominations: participation in public life, veteran organization interaction with the base enterprise in solving of veterans social problems, organizating of cultural, sportive and recreation activities.

The competition was also attended by the Balakovo, Kursk, Leningrad, Novovoronezh, Rostov, Smolensk and Moscow regional offices. Second place was awarded to the Smolensk Branch, the third - to Rostov and Kursk branch. Competition Commission commended the quality and completeness of the materials submitted by the regional office of the Kalininskaya regional office MOOVK, as well as work improvement in comparison with the last year most of the veterans regional offices, who took part in the competition.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
