The Kalininskaya NPP power unit №4 load reduced to 1,000 MW

On 26 October the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant power unit №4 load has been restored following the repair work on the thermal mechanical equipment. On October 25 the power unit №4 load of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant was reduced to 450 MW by previously filed and consistent application in the prescribed manner.

The Kalininskaya NPP includes three power units. Their total load is 3160 MW. The power unit№3 is being repaired according to the annual schedule of repairs. The repair will last until December 18th. As of October 27, the 3rd day of the repair is proceeding.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
