The first Information Day in 2015 took place on April 23 at the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant, its theme: "The impact of the economic situation on the objectives and priorities of the Corporation "Rosatom" in 2015. Results of research on involvement level".

Central theme of the Information Day was a video message of the Director-General of the State Corporation "Rosatom" Sergey Kiriyenko, in which he talked about the effect on the nuclear industry by the economic situation that has developed in Russia and in the world. According to Kiriyenko,there are more benefits from the crisis than disadvantages in the current situation in the nuclear industry and "the first thing we need to do is to maximize the use of the "opportunity window".

Work of the Information Day at the station was continued by the Director of the Kalininskaya NPP Mikhail Kanyshev. He spoke about the priorities in the electricity division problems at the Kalininskaya NPP for the current year, gave an assessment for staff’s work during last year.

In 2014 the Kalininskaya NPP produced 28.331 billion kWh of electricity, the plan was executed at 104.4%; scheduled maintenance of the power units was carried out with reduction of repair terms on 27 days; a RTN license to operate for the power unit №1 in extension was obtained.

Among the key objectives of the Kalininskaya NPP are providing planned targets for the  electricity production, providing planned targets for pilot operation of the NPP power units on 104% capacity, proceeding works on modernization to extend the life of the units №2 within the industry program, making a qualitative repair of the power units.

"Our prosperity depends on how effectively and efficiently we work. Conscientious fulfillment of our employment duties is a guarantee that our socio-economic situation will not deteriorate", - summed up the director of the station.

The meeting also included presentations on topics of salaries indexation and staff reductions, the participation of employees in the station project "Rosatom Person of the Year 2014". Special attention was paid during the Information Day to the project of employee involvement, which is a form of feedback to the company's management. The Director of the Kalininskaya NPP, evaluating the results of involvement, said: "For me the real picture is important. It is important that staff is able to openly express their views on any of our business process. I appreciate the involvement of staff as a result of which the team demonstrates solutions of complex and unusual tasks throughout the year. High performance of work is the best proof that the team aims to achieve our goals, the team is efficient and is involved not only into work of their enterprise, but also the industry as a whole. I thank each of you for participating in the research on involvement level".

The first in this year Information Day finished by traditional responses of the station management to oral and written questions from the staff that came in during the previous Information Day and during the meeting.

On the first Information Day the Deputy General Director - Director of the Center for Corporate Culture and Research ANO "Corporate Academy of the Rosatom" Anastasia Kaslin was an outside observer was present. "I am glad to be an observer for the second time at the Information Day on your station. We even filmed an educational film for the entire industry on how to prepare the perfect Information Day in 2012 at the Kalininskaya NPP. I really like that your director strongly supports the sincerity and honesty of dialogue with employees. It is very valuable that Mikhail and his deputies clearly and understandably explain the information, which was in S.V. Kiriyenko speech. They clearly explain how the problems of the industry will be detailed in your work. Your Information Day perfectly fulfills the purpose for which it was created", - shared the expert his impressions.

The project "Information Day" is a form of interaction between industry and businesses leaders with employees, which allows you to establish a lively dialogue and provide feedback with the staff of enterprises to create a common understanding of the initiatives and processes that are running today at the State Corporation "Rosatom" and as a result largely improve the results of all the work of the nuclear industry. The Kalininskaya NPP project was launched on December 26, 2011.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
