The Kalininskaya NPP fulfills June plan for electricity generation by 105%

The Kalininskaya NPP completed targets for production and supply of electricity in June 2014.

So, in June the Kalininskaya NPP developed 2,233 billion kWh of electricity (105%). In grid 2,107 billion kWh (105.7%) was released. The capacity factor (load factor) in June was 77.56% (73.85% at the plan).

In total since the begining of the year the Kalininskaya NPP power units have produced 13,336 billion kWh (106%), 12.592 billion kWh (106.6%) was released into the grid.

There are three power units in work at the moment at the Kalininskaya NPP. There is planned repair being proceeded at the power unit №2.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.

Current information about a radiation situation near the nuclear power plant in Russia and other objects of the nuclear industry is provided on a site www.russianatom.ru.
