The Kalininskaya NPP fulfilled the planned target for electricity generation at 103,3% in August

The Kalininskaya NPP developed 3,028 billion KWh (103,3%) in August. 2,866 billion KWh was released into the grid(103,3%). The capacity factor (load factor) was 101,78% (the plan was 98,52%).

The Kalininskaya NPP has produced 22,367 billion KWh (100,4%) since the beginning of the year, 21,163 billion KWh (100,6%) has been released into the grid.

There are all four power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP at the moment. The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.

Current information about radiation situation near the nuclear power plants in Russia and other objects of the nuclear industry is provided on a site www.russianatom.ru.
