Power unit №1 of the Kalininskaya NPP stopped to perform planned maintenance

On November 22, 2014 the power unit №1 of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant will be stopped by the pre-filed and agreed in the prescribed manner application to perform repairs on the gas cooling system of the generator unit. Work will last for several days.

According to 18.00 on November 21 there are three Kalininskaya NPP power units in work. At the power unit №3 is undergoing 28th day of the planned maintenance.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
