The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant was visited on July 25 by a delegation from Republic Vietnam  with fact-finding visit within the program of technical cooperation of Rosatom State corporation with IAEA. Its structure included representatives of the Vietnamese Ministries and departments, including, the science and technology Ministries led by the deputy minister Chan Van Donne.

Studying of the Russian experience in infrastructure management of nuclear power engineering and development of training programs for a nuclear industry became a main objective of visit.

During the day representatives of the Vietnamese delegation visited operating blocks of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant, Educational and training division of station, communicated to specialists of the entity who are directly engaged in operation, equipment repair and training.

There was arranges a meeting with an entity management within the visit. Director of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant M. U. Kanyshev told the guests about the activities of the station, the priorities of security and equipping of the Kaliniskaya nuclear power plant with additional equipment in the framework of the implementation of special measures, tailored to the analysis of events at "Fukushima". Also ecological and social aspects of activities of the entity were affected.
An important stage in further development of Kalininskaya NPP is the implementation of industrial projects on increase in power units of up to 104% and prolongation of term of operation of power units of the first stage.

 Mr. Chan Van Donne thanked for the given opportunity to visit the entity with fact-finding excursion, for exhaustive information on nuclear power plant work. He noted: "We highly appreciate extent of safety of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant. You use modern and reliable technologies. We are pleasantly surprised that in a zone of an arrangement of the nuclear power plant you could keep the ecology clean. This indicator is very important for the countries beginners in the nuclear industry one of which is Vietnam. Special attention deserves your job training and qualification of personnel. It is important that various groups of the public are actively included in process of informing on activities of the nuclear power plant - this work is carried out by the Center of public information. We are satisfied with this visit and we ate expecting further cooperation with Russia. We think that in the future we will build nuclear stations in our country, relying on your experience"

The taken place meeting has already been the third visit of representatives from Vietnam to Udomlya. Earlier, in 2010 the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant was visited by delegation of the Ministry of science and technology of Vietnam and the Vietnamese institute of an atomic energy for the purpose of acquaintance with the Russian experience in area of a construction and nuclear power plant operation with water-to-water power reactors (VVER-1000).  In 2012 based on educational and training division of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant was conducted a training course on safety of nuclear technologies for representatives of the Vietnamese agency on radiation and nuclear safety, and also agencies on an atomic energy and the Vietnamese institute of an atomic energy.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
