From March 19 to 22, 2012 a certification audit of QMS to meet the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2008 passed at Kalinino NPP.

The audit client is Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Certification was held by an audit team of the certification body TUV Thuringen (Germany).

The check field - an activity related to electric power production and supply. The audit included check and evaluation of standard documents of Kalinino NPP, and reporting with the enterprise heads, engineers and workers.

During the inspection, Head of the audit team, Aleksander Fedotov, noted: “I have a great experience in QMS certification in defense-industrial complex of Russia. What I saw in Kalinino NPP, the clarity and rigidity of performance, corresponds to what we are accustomed in defense enterprises. Among the positive sides I would like to note the fundamental nature and consistency of staff management, and its training both at Kalinino nuclear power plant, and in the whole of Rosenergoatom Concern.

“The check has been successful” - such conclusion was made by the audit team at the final meeting. "Having seen a good management system, I'll leave with a sense of satisfaction. It was a pleasure to work at Kalinino nuclear power plant and communicate with employees of the company, " said A. Fedotov.


Kalinino NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The Plant is situated on the north of Tver Region in Udomelsk district. Kalinino NPP includes four power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) each one having a capacity of 1000 MW. Implementation of a multistage program of the energy start-up continues its realization on the 4th power unit, which start-up took place on November 2011.
