The results of the scientific and educational project “I Study the World. My First Step On the Way to the Science” and the children creative contest “Kalinin NPP Kind-Hearted Atom” have been summarized at Kalinin NPP. The winners have received their awards. The conclusion events took place in Public Information Centre of KNPP January 26-27, 2011.

The scientific and educational project “I Study the World. My First Step to the Science” was organized for the second year for 2-9 grade schoolchildren of Udomlya nuclear plant satellite city. The schoolchildren together with their teachers and supervisors were offered to prepare competition works and defense them during a public presentation. The list of questions to study included history of the industry development, the peaceful atom significance in the modern world, the destinies and inheritance of the people who gave it all their efforts to lay the foundation of native nuclear industry and owing to whom the industry is developing now. 

Despite the fact that the project “I Study the World. My First Step to the Science” is very young, the quantity of those eager to participate in 2010 exceeded 50 people. The public project defense took place in the end of the year 2010, and in January the best project authors of different age divisions were determined. 

The contest winners and participants, children’s teachers and mentors were awarded presents, diplomas and grateful letters from Kalinin NPP.
