Kalinin NPP: Power Production Plan of October Performed by 107.2%

In October, 2012 Kalinin nuclear power plant produced and supplied electric power in excess of the plan target.
Thus, in October Kalinin NPP units produced 2,154 billion kWh of electricity (107.2%). The power system received 2,028 billion kWh of electric energy (108.5%). The installed capacity utilization factor (ICUF) made up 72.4% (at the rated of 67.54%) in October.

In total, since the beginning of the year, Kalinin NPP has produced 23,777 billion kWh of electric power (108%); the power system has received 22,455 billion kWh (109.4%).
At present, Kalinin NPP operates three power units. Unit 1 is in the scheduled outage.

The radiation background in the area of the nuclear power plant’s location and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power units’ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.

Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The Plant is situated on the north of the Tver Region in Udomelsk district. Kalinin NPP includes four power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) each one having the installed capacity of 1,000 MW.
