Kalinin NPP Realizes Annual Electric Supply Target

On November 30, 2012, at 00.59, Kalinin nuclear power plant fulfilled the annual electric supply plan – 24,560 billion kWh – one month ahead of the schedule.

In total, since the beginning of the year, Kalinin NPP units have generated 25,992 billion kWh of electric power (108.8%).

In November, Kalinin NPP units have generated 2,215 billion kWh of electricity (117.8%). The energy system has received 2,101 billion kWh of electricity (119.5%).

The installed capacity utilization factor (ICUF) has made 79.58% (of the planned 67.58%) in November.

Currently, Kalinin NPP operates three power units. Unit 2 remains under the scheduled thorough overhaul.

The radiation background in the area of location of the nuclear power plant and adjacent territory is at the level corresponding with normal units’ operation and does not exceed the natural background level.

Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The Plant is situated on the north of the Tver Region in Udomelsky district. Kalinin NPP includes four power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) each one having the installed capacity of 1,000 MW.
