Rosenergoatom (part of the control loop of Rosatom State Corporation) has successfully completed testing of a new domestic hardware and software system (HSS) for advanced analytics, which is planned to be put into commercial operation as early as 2023.

The hardware and software system is a joint solution by leading Russian companies in the sphere of IT equipment manufacturing (Delta Computers) and the development of high-performance products for data analysis (Foresight). The project was developed on the instructions of Rosenergoatom, which also acted as its reference customer.

The new system, designed on the basis of Delta Computers and Foresight's own developments, is aimed at solving one of the key tasks of the domestic IT industry - the creation of import-independent solutions to accelerate migration to Russian software. The product is intended for a comprehensive replacement of Western business intelligence systems (BI systems) operating on the basis of imported hardware.

“The hardware and software system, created by the specialists of our companies based on domestic products, is unique, as it allows customers to implement the Business Intelligence (BI) concept into their IT infrastructure,” says Andrey Chernyshev, CEO of Delta Computers. - The new development has been successfully tested, it will allow customers to significantly increase the efficiency of decision-making, and the use of Russian products makes it possible to use the system as part of the import substitution program. Such examples of collaboration between a hardware manufacturer and a software developer create favorable conditions for creating competitive products that meet the needs of Russian customers.”

“We have developed a high-performance product that works with different types of data and their sources, allowing one to quickly perform complex calculations. High-speed processing of large data arrays is provided by efficient servers of a compact form factor from Delta Computers and modern technologies embedded in the Foresight. Analytical platform,” says Konstantin Shimanovsky, director of the product management department at Foresight. “At the same time, our main task is not just to replace Western analytical software, but to help domestic companies move to a higher level of working with data, provide customers with new generation tools to solve large-scale tasks of advanced analytics.” 

The new product is a complex of “Foresight. Analytical platform” and hardware component – Delta Tioga Pass servers. The relevance of the development is explained by the intensive growth in the volume of analyzed data and, as a result, interest in BI platforms.

“The hardware and software system from Delta Computers and Foresight is a powerful tool for making managerial decisions. Today, when Russia pays special attention to import substitution and the creation of domestic software, with the help of the new system we plan not only to replace imported BI class solutions, but also to fulfill the task of import substitution of the hardware component of the solution. At the same time, such a joint solution makes it possible to predict its cost throughout its entire life cycle,” comments Oleg Shalnov, director of the IT Project Management and Integration Department at Rosenergoatom.
