Rosenergoatom will increase the level of cyber security in 2023 due to a new domestic hardware and software system (HSS)
Rosenergoatom (part of the control loop of Rosatom State Corporation) has successfully completed testing of a new domestic software and hardware system (HSC) to provide a high level of information security.
The import-independent software and hardware solution, created jointly by leading Russian companies in the field of cybersecurity (Positive Technologies) and the production of IT equipment (Delta Computers) by order of the largest generating company in the country, is planned to be put into commercial operation as early as 2023.
The solution includes the MaxPatrol SIEM information security event monitoring and incident detection system, PT Network Attack Discovery (PT NAD) behavioral analysis of network traffic, PT Sandbox, a product for protection against targeted and mass attacks using malware, as well as high-performance server hardware Delta Tioga Pass and storage modules based on Argut NVMe disks.
“The creation of import-substituting hardware and software systems (HSS) is one of the strategic initiatives of the Rosatom State Corporation to achieve the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation. The use of HSS allows us to fulfill the tasks of import substitution of the hardware of already used or newly implemented domestic software systems, to obtain balanced and horizontally scalable hardware solutions with predictable parameters of quality of work and cost of ownership throughout the entire life cycle of the solution,” said Oleg Shalnov.

The solution created jointly with Delta Computers, on the one hand, takes into account our knowledge of current cyber threats, and on the other hand, an understanding of the requirements of companies to the level of equipment performance and data storage modules.
