The country's largest generating company, Rosenergoatom (part of the Electric Power Division of the Rosatom State Corporation), was awarded a high award - the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the sphere of quality. The corresponding Decree was signed by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

This award is given to organizations for the implementation of highly effective quality management methods and productivity improvement instruments, as well as for achieving significant results in the sphere of product and service quality and providing their safety.

In total, over 500 organizations from 70 regions of the country participated in the last competition. Among the winners there are eleven enterprises from the metallurgical, gas, medical, electrochemical industries, education and services. In the nuclear industry, in addition to Rosenergoatom, the following became winners: JSC Ural Electrochemical Plant (Sverdlovsk Region, Novouralsk) and Federal State Unitary Enterprise Russian Federal Nuclear Center - All-Russian Research Institute of Technical Physics named after academician E.I. Zababakhin (Chelyabinsk region, Snezhinsk).

“An award of this kind is a high assessment of the effectiveness of our organization. Rosenergoatom has demonstrated leadership both in providing the absolute priority of safety and in the sphere of quality management. Today, more than ever, we are ready to constantly improve performance in areas, implement the necessary measures, optimize production processes, implement and develop best practices, as well as constantly improve the quality system and the Integrated Management System of Rosenergoatom and, not stopping there, strive for continuous self-improvement», stressed the head of Rosenergoatom Andrey Petrov, commenting on the receipt of the award.

“In the current situation in the world and the country, broad state support for the initiatives of organizations in all industries to improve efficiency, productivity and competitiveness is of particular relevance. History clearly demonstrates that improving the quality of processes and efficiency through the use of business excellence models is the only way out of crisis situations. It is important to note that in today's difficult conditions, an increasing number of industries that are of high importance for the development of the country's economy in the new realities are involved in diagnostics, which is direct evidence of the effectiveness of its application,” said Maxim Protasov, chairman of the secretariat of the Government Prize in the sphere of quality, head of Roskachestvo.

The Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the sphere of quality is a nationwide project in the sphere of process management quality in Russia. Over the entire period of its existence, more than 4,000 organizations from 80 constituent entities of the Russian Federation have participated in it, and more than 400 organizations have become winners of the award.

Rosenergoatom is the largest generating company in Russia, ranking the first in total power generation and the second in the world in terms of installed NPP capacity. In 2022, Rosenergoatom celebrated its 30th anniversary since its foundation. Today, the company includes 11 operating nuclear power plants, where 37 power units with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW (including FNPP) are in operation. The share of nuclear generation in the country is about 20% of the total power generation.
