The timing for the construction start of PWR-1200 power unit 3 and 4 has been determined at the Leningrad NPP
As part of the general contractor agreement for the construction of PWR-1200 power unit 3 and 4, Rosenergoatom (Rosatom's Electric Power Division) and TITAN-2 construction holding concluded an additional agreement for the preparatory stage for construction.
“In September 2022, the specialists of TITAN-2 plan to start cutting wood and laying relief. The next stage is the vertical planning of the territory for excavation. Specialists will also lay temporary power and water supply networks and temporary access roads to the construction site,” said Evgeny Milushkin, deputy director for capital construction of the Leningrad NPP-2.
“The preparatory period will start in the next few weeks. The development of the territory will take place until May 2023,” said Alexei Biryukov, head of the construction control department of the capital construction department of the Leningrad NPP-2.
According to the partners of TITAN-2, the general contractor is preparing to accept a large number of personnel and prepare them for work on the industrial site.
