At the Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant, WANO experts arranged the first support mission using the new methodology
A group of experts from the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO - Moscow Center) performed a support mission at the Novovoronezh NPP on the topic "Management and leadership in the sphere of operations".
For the first time, the new "organizational diagnostics" methodology was tested at the NVNPP. Its purpose is to promote improvement in leadership, exchange of professional experience and increase organizational efficiency.
“The new “organizational diagnostics” product presented by us is designed to demonstrate that the formula for organizational effectiveness provides the multiplication of leadership by the existing management model based on the high professionalism of the staff. We tested a complex program at the Novovoronezh NPP, as the plant is open to innovation. We were once again convinced of the ability of the nuclear power plant management to organize interaction between the company's divisions aimed at introducing effective practices,” said Anatoly Kirichenko, first deputy director of the WANO Moscow Center.
Arranging organizational diagnostics at the Novovoronezh NPP and its further application at other NPPs will enable the enterprises of the State Corporation Rosatom to reach a new qualitative level and ensure competitiveness in the world energy markets.
“NVNPP traditionally uses the most promising and special developments. The Novovoronezh NPP successfully cooperates with WANO in the exchange of information on good practices. This time, the support mission participants offered to study the new principles set out in the WANO guidelines for improving operational performance. We are ready to work in this direction,” said Vladimir Povarov, director of the NVNPP.
