Rosenergoatom – the owner of gold awards of the LACP 2017 international competition

The public annual report of Rosenergoatom Concern for 2016 was awarded with gold and entered the TOP-50 of the world’s best company reports according to such international contests as LACP 2017 Spotlight Awards / Global Communications Competition and LACP Inspire Awards / Corporate Publishing Competition.

Rosenergoatom's report was awarded with gold in the following nominations: One-Time/Annual and Print: Annual Report; it also entered TOP-50 of the world’s best reports, taking 46th place in the rating (in comparison to 48th and 49th places in 2016).

The Competition jury gave the highest mark to Rosenergoatom annual report based on the criteria: General Narrative, General Visual Design, Compliance with Expectations (10 out of 10 points), and Creativity (20 out of 20); and in the overall ranking it awarded Rosenergoatom report with 98 points out of 100.

LACP Awards is a major international competition in the field of corporate communications, which has been held by the League of American Communications Professionals LLC since 2001. Following the results of 2016, more than 1,000 companies from more than 20 countries – representing practically all branches of the economy – participated in the competition.

The integrated annual report of Rosenergoatom Concern traditionally holds the leading positions in international and Russian reporting contests. In 2017, the Concern became the platinum prize-winner of the international competition Hermes Creative Awards 2017, received three platinum awards in the international competition of marketing communications MarCom Awards 2017. In 2016 Rosenergoatom‘s annual report took the first place in the industry competition for public reporting of the organizations of Rosatom State Corporation, and also became a prize-winner of Russian and international competitions.

The Rosenergoaton Concern (the power division of the Rosatom State Corporation) includes 10 Russian nuclear power stations bearing the status of the Concern’s affiliate companies, along with the vendors catering for the needs of the generation company. All in all, the 10 nuclear power stations operate 35 power blocks* (*excluding the Novovoronezh NPP’s 6th power block being at the pilot production stage): 18 of them operate VVER reactors (12 VVER-1000 power blocks and 5 VVER-440 power blocks of different modifications); 15 of them with channel reactors (11 power blocks with RMBK-1000 reactors, four power blocks with EGP-6 reactors); and 2 power blocks with fast neutron sodium cooling reactors (BN-600 and BN-800).
At the moment, the Rosenergoatom NPPs account for 18 % of the whole electricity output in the 
country.
