The veterans of Balakovo NPP, who on the eve of the second succession of May holidays came together in the club “Display” of the Balakovo NPP trade union committee, dedicated their chess tournament to the Victory Day.
 
At the chessboards, there contested 11 chess players headed by a coach of the veteran chess section, competitions’ judge Anatoliy Rodkin. “This tournament we have dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War veterans, which had lost their lives for their Motherland, and defended the right of the future generations to have well-deserved and happy life. Today we not only participate in the chess battles, but also remind our kindred – the direct participants of those far events,” Anatoliy Fedorovich noted.  

Each participant of the chess tournament played by one round. As a result, Anatoliy Rodkin became a winner; the second place was won by Reshat Settanov. And the third position was friendly shared by Viktor Kolotov and Igor Bychkov. The winners received the merited certificates and prizes.

All the participants and winners of the festive chess tournament are former employees of Balakovo NPP for whom such intellectual meetings on the eve of the festive dates are a good tradition.
