Acting governor of the Murmansk region Marina Kovtun held a working meeting with the Management Board members, First Deputy General Director for operational management of the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" Alexander Lokshin and CEO of the "Rosenergoatom" Yevgeny Romanov. The parties discussed the issues of energy in Murmansk region and expressed their intention to further close cooperation for the overall development of the region and the implementation of the planned programs.

Welcoming the guests, the Acting Governor noted that the Government of Murmansk region highly appreciates the level of established business contacts and mutual understanding with the State Corporation, and with the "Rosenergoatom Concern".

"First of all, they, of course, are related to the energy security of the region. Here crucial, reliable operation of the largest energy enterprise in Murman the Kola NPP plays a big role. In addition, we have good cooperation in the social sphere, and in terms of the integrated development of the city, existing of the company Polar Dawns "- said Marina Kovtun.

"We also appreciate the relationships that exist between the government and the Kola region. The KNPP is now part of the point of the decision to extend the resources, construction of replacement facilities. This is connected with the region development, "- said Alexander Lokshin.
