OnSeptember 10 at 18:44 the Kalininskaya NPP power unit ?4 was plugged in afterthe scheduled mid-level repair, which had began on 2 August.

Duringthe repair campaign, a number of routine maintenance operations were done bythe maintenance, engineering and technical personnel of the station andcontractor personnel.

Thereare three power units in work at the moment at the Kalininskaya NPP. Power unit?3 is being repaired. The radiation background on the nuclear power plant andaround its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation ofpower units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.

TheKalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "ConcernRosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region inthe Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled powerreactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structureof the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
