The power unit No.3 of Leningrad NPP is deenergized

On April 13, 2012 at 03.12am, the power unit No.3 of Leningrad NPP was deenergized according to the submitted request with the purpose of the short-term maintenance on replacing the gaskets of one of the heat-exchange systems.

At present there are operated the power units No.1 and 2, which run at a total capacity of 1826 MW. Since the beginning of the current month, the power unit No.4 has been in outage in accordance with the 2012-maintenance campaign schedule.

 The radiation background at Leningrad nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power units’ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
