The Veterans’ organization of Smolensk NPP has been acknowledged the best one in Rosenergoatom Concern

The results of the annual contest for the best regional veterans’ organizations of Rosenergoatom Concern, aimed to estimate the NPP veterans’ work for 2010, has been summed up.

Thee contest committee estimated 17 branches of the veterans’ organizations activity, among them the solution of social and household problems, medicine and sanitarium-preventorium services for retired veterans, organization of cultural and mass and sports activity etc.

Smolensk NPP took the leading positions judging by almost all the values. Close collaboration with the enterprise brings its results – a section about benefits and compensations to unemployed pensioners has appeared in the nuclear plant collective agreement, mechanisms of distribution of sanatorium trip tickets and the sources for material help rendering, organization of cultural and recreational and creative events, encouragement of the activists have been debugged.

Such branches as the work with the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, collaboration with Desnogorsk public organizations, patriotic upbringing, career guiding and propaganda of the nuclear branch achievements among the youth were defined as the strong ones of Smolensk veterans’ organization.

“Within several years already our veterans’ organization has been occupying leading positions not only in the Concern but also in the branch”, says the Veterans’ Committee Chairman. – We managed to achieve such a result not only owing to the activity of our retired veterans, being particular and devoted to the enterprise, but also because of weighty support on the party of the nuclear plant trade union and administration. In order to keep to these high standards we should constantly move forward, perfecting out activity”, Smolensk NPP Veterans’ Committee Chairman considers it to be.


Smolensk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Every year SNPP supplies to the country electric power system at the average about 20 bln kilowatt-hours of electric power equal to almost 13% of power generated in Rosenergoatom Concern and to more than 80% of that generated by the power plants of Smolensk region.
