The Rostov NPP: reshuffle in the management team

New appointments, which are aimed at successful solution of problems in the industry, have been made in the leadership of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" and the Rostov NPP.

The Chief Engineer of the Rostov NPP Alexey Zhukov was appointed the Deputy General Director - Director for Production and maintenance of nuclear power plants of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". Earlier this position was held by Alexander Shutikov, who in April 2015 was transferred to the post of the First Deputy General Director of Nuclear Power Operations in Russia in the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom".

Andrei Gorbunov was appointed the Chief Engineer of the Rostov NPP, he has been working at the nuclear plant since March 2000 to the present appointment, he overcame his career path from the shift unit chief to the Deputy chief engineer of the second stage. Andrey Borisovich takes part in development program of management personnel reserve "Capital of the Rosatom".

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010. The power unit ?3 physical launch was in November 2014, energy launch - in December 2014. The power unit ?4 is being constructed.
