The Rostov NPP: power unit ?3 included in the network

Power unit ?3, working in a mode of pilot operation, was included into the network after planned repair works on July 6 at 21 hours 45 minutes.

Recall, that the power unit ?3 of the Rostov NPP was disconnected from the network for the operations by the Audit of the equipment on June 24th.

The power unit ?3 is setting power up to allowed level of 90% of the nominal power at the moment.

The power unit ?3 is planned to start commercial operation in 2015.

Units number 1 and number 2 of the Rostov nuclear power plant are working in project mode in accordance with the dispatch schedule load.

There are no violations of limits and conditions of safe operation of the equipment. The radiation background at the plant and the surrounding area is unchanged and is at the level, which corresponds to the normal operation of power and do not exceed the natural background values.

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010. The power unit ?3 physical launch was in November 2014, energy launch 0 December 2014. The power unit ?4 is being constructed.
