The Rostov NPP: power unit ?1 included into the network after repair works

Power unit ?1 of the Rostov nuclear power plant was included into the network after routine repairs on June 10, 2015 at 15:30.

Recall, the power unit ?1 was disconnected from the network and shut down for repairs on May 29 at 17:00 in accordance with the application agreed with the Joint dispatch control after power systems of the South and the operating organization JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom".

There are no violations of limits and conditions of equipment’ safe operation.

Power unit ?2 of the Rostov NPP is in planned preventive repair from May 12.

Power unit ?3 runs on 75% capacity on the stage of pilot production.

The radiation background at the plant and the surrounding area is unchanged and is at the level, which corresponds to the normal operation of power and do not exceed the natural background values.

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010. Physical launch of power unit ?3 was in November 2014, energy launch - in December 2014. Power unit ?4 is being constructed.
