The Rostov NPP: an employee of the plant’s security service and a professional boxer, Dmitry Kudriashov, has won the WBC silver belt

On December 3, 2016, as a part of the professional box show held in Moscow, Dmitry Kudriashov, a professional boxer from Volgodonsk, knocked out his Columbian rival Santadera Silgado on the second minute of the first round in the WBC Silver competition.

The heavyweight title bout Kudriashov-Silgado was planned for 12 rounds; however, after a couple of strong hits by the Volgodonsk nuclear power expert, the Colombian boxer needed professional medical help.

“Santadera Silgado is a very experienced and well-trained boxer who knows how to keep distance and is great at what he does. We competed for the WBC Silver title, which I lost when fighting against Olanrevadju Durodola, and I’m happy that I have managed to win. I would like to thank everyone who trusted in me. My support team is always the same – my family and my nearest and dearest from the small Volgodonsk city. They know the rights things to keep me moving on”, Dmitry Kudriashov said after the battle.

For the 31-years-old Dmitry Kudriashov, this was the twentieth victory at the professional boxing. All of those 20 victories were ahead-of-time, finishing with knockouts. During the 6 years of his professional career, he was defeated only once by the Nigerian boxer Olanrevadju Durodola.

Dmitry Kudriashov, an employee of the Rostov NPP’s security system and a Russian professional boxer, competes in the first heavy weight category. He is the CIS and the Slavic countries’ WBC champion, the international WBA champion, a master of sports in boxing and military close fight. Dmitry has been doing professional boxing since 2011.

The power block No. 4 is planned to be launched in 2017.

The Rostov NPP is an affiliate company for Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is based at the Tsymlianskoe reservoir shore 13.5 km away from Volgodonsk. The NPP operates VVER-1000 reactors with the installed capacity of 1000 megawatts. The power block No.1 commenced commercial operations in 2001, with the second and the third power blocks to follow in 2010 and on September 17, 2015, respectively. The power block No. 4 is currently under construction.
