The Leningrad NPP: growth of power generation for the first 9 months of 2014 was 43.5%

The Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant (the branch of "Rosenergoatom Concern", Leningrad region) 2014 has developed 18,04 billion  kW hours of electricity in January-September, which is accounted for 104% of the target for the period and 143.48% for the corresponding figure for the same period of 2013 year (12 billion 573 million kW h).

Into the grid the Leningrad NPP has released 16 billion 631 million kW h of electricity in January-September 2014 (for the same period in 2013 - 11 billion 465 million kW h).

As of October 1, 2014 the Leningrad NPP has generated 908 billion 467 million kW h of electricity since the start-up.

Recall that the planned target of the Leningrad nuclear power plant for electricity generation in 2014 is 23 billion 408.78 million kW h of electricity with a growth of 37.7% to the plan in 2013.

"After three quarters the Leningrad NPP maintains a positive trend, typed after the program to restore the resource characteristics and work in the autumn-winter 2013-2014 year of all four power units that can count on the successful implementation of the annual plan," - said the director of the Leningrad NPP Vladimir Pereguda.

Currently, the power units ? 1,3 and 4 are operating at the Leningrad NPP, which bear the burden of the operations schedule 2330 MW. On the second unit continues to implement the program for the restoration of resource characteristics of the reactor plant.

The Leningrad nuclear power plant is JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Pine Pine forest, in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units by electric capacity of 1000 MWt everyone are operating on the nuclear power plant. The radiation background on an industrial platform of the Leningrad nuclear power plant, in the city Pine Pine Forest and the surrounding territory hasn't changed and corresponds to natural values.
