The Kola NPP: power unit ?4 plugged in

On September 7 at 08.26 the Kola NPP power unit ?4 was plugged in. As of September 8, 2014 08.30 there are all 4 power units in work, the load of the plant is 1,093 MW according to the operations schedule.

There are no violations of limits and conditions of safe operation of the Kola nuclear power plant was not. The radiation background at the station and the surrounding area remains unchanged and is located at the natural background values.

The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in 200 km to the South from Murmansk on the shore of the Lake Imandra. It develops about 60% of the electric power of Murmansk region. There are 4 power units in operation with reactors of type VVER 440 MW each. The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is the supplier of the electric power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
