The General Director of “Rosenergoatom” Concern Yevgeniy Romanov has visited the Rostov NPP

On March 14-15, 2012 the General Director of “Rosenergoatom” Concern Yevgeniy Romanov has visited the Rostov NPP with his working trip.

During the visit the Concern Head examined both operating power units and those of under construction, made round of NPP industrial site, and held a production meeting, where he presented to the collective an Acting Deputy General Director – Director of the Rostov NPP. Andrey Salnikov, who earlier had filled a position of a Chief Engineer of the nuclear power plant, was appointed to this post.

Former Director of the Rostov NPP Aleksander Palamarchuk is transferred to another post – a Deputy General Director of “Rosenergoatom Concern” – Director of the “Management for Construction of Facilities” branch.

“We raised the level of a Head responsible for the customer service and supervision of construction facilities to the level of a Deputy General Director and a Head of a branch responsible for all constriction facilities. Requirements for candidates are very high thus all the selection criteria focused on Aleksander Vasilievich”, - noted Yevgeniy Romanov.

Answering the questions of local mass media the General Director of the Concern emphasized that the timeline shifting of the RNPP new power units start-up is not scheduled: “For us all of the power units are of main priority, each of them is significant in its own way, although talking about the importance of time, the closest start-up – new power units of the Novovoronezh and Rostov NPPs. Another priority is construction of facilities in high quality, on time and for less money. This is a key moment of realization of the “Rosenergoatom” strategy”.

The Head of the “Rosenergoatom” also informed that the Concern will increase tax revenues to different level budgets by means of construction of new power units and more efficient use of recourses: “In the regions with nuclear power plants we suggest making agreements with the following concept of operation:  if the plant starts paying more taxes to the region, then the region should make efforts in reassigning of additional tax fields in favor of the residential area, where our object is situated. I consider this to be right”.
Summing up his working visit, Yevgeniy Romanov said that impressions he had got from the visiting the plant were the most positive ones: “The construction process on the site is organized productively; the same may be referred to its operation – a highly skilled staff. I’m sure that Rostov NPP has great potential to be the best Russian nuclear plant”, - he stressed.
