Annual competitions of fighting calculations of voluntary fire teams passed on August 22 on the Balakovo nuclear power plant. 21 man's and eight women's teams from station divisions took part in them – in whole more than 120 people. The course of competitions was watched by their organizers – department of fire safety of the nuclear power plant and staff of the 23rd fire brigade.

Athletes overcame 4 traditional stages: suppression by the fire extinguisher of a big baking sheet, overcoming of boom and suppression pf a small baking sheet, overcoming of a fence and water supply from a branching by a compact stream from a fire trunk.

As a result in a team competition the victory was won among men's teams by athletes of electroshop, on the second place – shop of thermal automatic equipment and measurements, on the third – department of defectoscopy of metals and engineering supervision.

Among women's teams girls from shop of radioactive waste handling, on the second place – a by-product recovery department, on the third line item – team of providing systems shop showed the best time.

In tender of satirical leaves on fire-proof subject the victory was won by team of the fire safety department, the second place was taken by team of a by-product recovery department, teams of reactor shop No. 1 and shop of centralized repair got the third.

As organizers of competitions noted, availability on the Balakovo nuclear power plant of well trained voluntary fire teams is one of important factors of the entity ensuring fire safety, and nuclear scientists once again showed high degree of readiness for suppression of fires and good knowledge of working methods with fire extinguishing means.

Winners both personal, and command offsettings are awarded by diplomas and prizes.
