Sovetsk supported by the Directorate for the Construction of the Baltic nuclear power plant held a sport festival for people with hearing disabilities "Life without barriers". The festivalorganized by the regional branch of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf and the Deaf Sports Federation, held AMF competitions.

More than a hundred athletes with hearing impairments from Sovetsk, Neman, Krasnoznamensk and Kaliningradgatheredto participate in the sport festival in the fitness center "Friendship". The festival was opened with a solemn procession of football team and then the competition on mini-footballstarted. The tense struggle of teams lasted more than 6 hours.

Players from Kaliningrad won the 1st place, 2 place - Neman athletes, 3 place - team from Sovetsk by the results of the competition. Winners were awarded with medals and cups.

The second part of the festival program included a tour for the participants to the historical parts of Sovetsk.

Nuclear workers in collaboration with the All-Russian Society of the Deaf conducted the festival "Life without barriers" for the second time. The first sporting eventtook place in 2013 and also included competitions in mini-football for athletes with hearing impairments in the framework of the charitable initiatives of the Directorate for the Construction of the Baltic Nuclear Power Plant.
