Smolensk NPP: “Caucasus” Gifts Feast to Desnogorsk Citizens
On September 1 the State Folk Dance Ensemble “Caucasus” (Abkhazia) performed on the stage of the House “Neutrino”, Desnogorsk, with the dance program within the framework of the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Concern Rosenegoatom and 30th anniversary of the startup of Smolensk NPP first unit.
Two years ago, on invitation of Smolensk NPP and Rosenergoatom Concern, the famous dance group already appeared before Desnogorsk citizens and managed to win the hearts of the audience with its original, magic power of the Caucasian temperament. No wonder, at this time the hall was also full.
More than one and a half an hour the ovation, with which Desnogorsk citizens greeted the mastership of the dancers, did not cease. Perfect graceful movements, extraordinary tricks with daggers, play on musical instruments left no one indifferent. And the flags of Russia and Abkhazia appeared in the final of the show louder than words expressed the strong age-old friendship and unity of our people.
The ensemble “Caucasus” was created 16 years ago. For that time it has become one of the brightest and beloved creative teams not only in Abkhazia, but also in the Caucasus. This team is a regular participant, laureate and winner of international dance and folk festivals. Halls of Russia, Germany, Poland and Turkey applauded the mastership of the Abkhazian dancers. People’s Artist of the USSR and Republic of Abkhazia, Kandid Tarba, is a leader of the ensemble.
Smolensk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Annually SNPP provides the country power system at an average of about 20 billion kWh of electrical power, which makes about 13% of energy produced by Rosenergoatom Concern and more than 80% produced by the power enterprises of the Smolensk Region.
