On May 27-29, 2011, the first festival of children and youth creativity “We are your children, Russia”, founded by Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC was held in Desnogorsk.

More than 250 talented children of the workers of atomic engineering from the satellite towns of Balakovo, Beloyarsk, Kursk, Novovoronezh, Rostov and Smolensk NPP have taken part in the festival of music, song and dance.

Three festival days have filled Desnogorsk with children's voices and incendiary dances. The young talents aged from 6 to 17 devoted their performances to what they held dearest of all - our Native land - Great Russia. Baby palms, opened for creativity and warming by their love and cordiality became the festival symbol.

The competent jury under presidency of Adviser of The Deputy General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Oleg Zheltov appreciated competitors in four nominations: variety and choral vocal, national and variety dance.

“Desnogorsk became the birthplace of many remarkable creative traditions of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Here, for the first time the “Live spring” was held in 1999, in 2006 - the festival of patriotic programs the “Light of my Russia” was born. This year Smolensk NPP became the initiator of one more festival – “We are your children, Russia”, - Oleg Zheltov said.

Honored Artist of Russia, associate professor of the Moscow university of culture and art, jury of the festival Nikolay Golodenko, estimating performances of young talents, noticed, that children of atomic scientists have shown very high level of skill and many competitors are worthy to continue their creative destiny.
