Rostovskaya nuclear power plant: took place the exit meeting of deputies chief maintenance engineers

On August 1-2 according to JSC «Rosenergoatom Concern» order on the Rostovskaya nuclear power plant passed an exit working meeting of deputies chief engineers of the nuclear power plant on operation.

During the meeting were discussed work results for the first half of the year 2013, including: carrying out the repair companies, problems and positive practicians in their implementation, optimization of planned repairs, safe operation of various types of reactors of nuclear stations, fuel cycles, development of the electric power and increase in useful power of VVER-1000, upgrade reactors of the equipment and prolongation of useful lives of blocks of the operating nuclear power plants. And as implementation of the post-Fukushima was considered actions for decrease in risks of beyond design basis accidents and were discussed tasks until the end of the current year.

Opening meeting, Oleg Tchernikov, the first deputy director of JSC «Rosenergoatom Concern» on production and nuclear power plant operation, addressed to its participants: «Today we gathered on one of the most dynamically developing nuclear stations - the Rostovskaya nuclear power plant where we can fruitfully discuss questions of operation and look personally at the station work, including at a building site of new power units».

Having discussed all questions of the agenda, deputy chief engineers visited the building site of the third power unit of the Rostovskaya nuclear power plant under construction and the operating second power unit of nuclear station.    

The Rostovskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. At nuclear station two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt are operated. The power unit No. 1 is put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010.
