Rostov NPP: the spring series of “What? Where? When?” games have been accomplished

On May 21, the meeting of “Eureka” intellectual club, within the framework of which three “What? Where? When?” games were conducted, and summarizing of the spring session results were held in Rostov NPP Information Centre. The club founders are the young technicians’ plant and Public Information Centre of Rostov NPP.

The year 2011 was announced in Volgodonsk to be the year of healthy life-style, and this became the main topic of the contests.

In this connection, three teams of connoisseurs gathered at the round table: students of the lyceum No. 24, Students of Volgodonsk Engineering and Technological Institute NRNU MEPI and the team of Rostov NPP young atomists. All the three teams won the virtual rivals in the course of the obstinate fight. 

Summarizing results of the intellectual club meeting, the expert committee represented by the city administration, sports instructors and sportsmen identified the best players among the connoisseurs and the most active spectators.

Also, the awarding ceremony of the winners and prize winners of “What? Where? When?” spring game series was held. The team of Volgodonsk Engineering and Technological Institute NRNU MEPI demonstrated the best scores of the spring session 6:0 and was recognized to be the best team of the season. All the connoisseurs received certificates and memory presents from Rostov nuclear plant

Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. The nuclear plant has two operating power units of VVER-1000-type reactors with installed capacity of 1000 MW. Power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power unit No 2 – in December, 2010.
