Rostov NPP: the plan for April has been overfulfilled

Rostov NPP fulfilled the April plan for power generating by 105.9%. With the planned value being equal to 914 mln kWh, actually, the two power units generated 967.7 mln kWh.


The utilization factor of maximum capacity in April amounted to 67.2 % (63.47% of the target figure).


As of May 1st, since the year beginning Rostov NPP has generated 5 bln 413.7 mln kWh that is 103.1% of the target figure.


Federal Tariff Service ratified the plan of electric power generating for 2011 for Rostov NPP two power units in the amount of 14 bln 827 mln kWh. According to the calculations, the utilization factor of maximum capacity will be equal to not less that 84.63%.


On April 10, 2011 Rostov NPP power unit No. 1 was put into major schedule preventing repair according to the “Schedule of Russian NPPs’ Power Units Repair” ratified by Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Administration.


Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. The nuclear plant has two operating power units of VVER-1000-type reactors with installed capacity of 1000 MW. Power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power unit No 2 – in December, 2010.
