Rostov NPP: electric power production plans for June and the half year have been overfulfilled

Rostov NPP has fulfilled the June plan for electric power generation for 118.1%. The target figure being equal to 694 mln kW, the plant actually produced 819.6 mln of kWh. The monthly plan was fulfilled on June 26 at 14:20.

On June 15 Rostov NPP fulfilled the plan of the first half year, having generated 6.542 mln kWh. The plan fulfilled for the 6 months exceeded the target figure by 8.5%.

The Federal Tariff Service ratified the plan for electric power generation for Rostov NPP in 2001 in the amount of 14.827 bln kW of electric power. According to the calculations the utilization factor of maximum capacity will amount to not less than 84.63%.

Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. The nuclear plant has two operating power units of VVER-1000-type reactors with installed capacity of 1000 MW. Power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power unit No 2 – in December, 2010. Power unit No. 4 is under construction.
