Rostov NPP: an exhibition of a well-known Volgodonsk artist was opened in Information Centre

On March 4, 2011, a presentation of works exhibition of Anatoly Kovalyov, a well-known Volgodonsk artist, member of commonwealth of artists of Russia, was organized in Rostov NPP Information Centre.

About 40 canvases are presented in the exposition, made in oil and water color techniques. Generally, they are landscapes and still-lives. On the artist’s canvases the nature of the native region, and also the places he had visited while travelling, are depicted.

Alexander Shaferov, head of RNPP Public Information Centre, congratulated Anatoly Kovalyov on his exhibition opening on behalf of the nuclear plant administration. Representatives of city administration culture department, Volgodonsk clerisy, friends and fans of Kovalyov’s creativity, art lovers, Rostov NPP employees came to the exposition presentation.

The exhibition, opened on the eve of March 8 and devoted to the International Women’s Day, will last till the end of June.

Anatoly Kovalyov is a famous water color artist, a member of commonwealth of artists of Russia, and a participant of the exhibitions in Russia, France and China. His works are presented in our country museums, in the museum of des Reaux castle in France, in the museum of the republic of South Ossetia, in private collections of Russia, Israel, and Germany. This year Anatoly Kovalyov is 70 years old.
