Rostov NPP: Bottom Part of Containment Building Dome is Mounted at Unit 3

The bottom part of the dome is mounted on the containment building of Rostov 3 under construction. This metalwork weighing over 100 tons was assembled on the erecting yard, lifted up and mounted on the unit under construction. The next step is mounting of coping blocks with subsequent concreting.



Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The enterprise is situated on the bank of Tsimlyansk Reservoir at 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. NPP operates two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with the capacity of 1,000 MW. Unit 1 was commissioned in 2001 and Unit 2 – in December 2010.
