On April 16, 2011 in Rostov NPP Information Centre workshops and trainings for young politicians were organized within the framework of a regional project called “Governor’s Youth Team”, and also there was a meeting with Chairman of the youth policy committee of Rostov region Sergey Chuyev, Mayor of Volgodonsk Viktor Firsov and young city businessmen.

About 80 young people took part in the project: schoolchildren, students, representatives of city youth organizations. The forum was organized simultaneously on three platforms. The lecture-presentation ”Technologies of Youth Self-Administration Bodies Development” was dedicated to discussion of issues related to youth self-administration, interaction with local authorities and possible forms of youth organizations. During the training called “Social Project Management” the participants listened to the lecture “Project Logic Method” and reviewed each stage of the youth project in detail. In the course of the business game “Resource Mobilization. Fund Rising. Assessment of Efficiency” the young politicians learned how to build up the budget and prepare commercial proposals for implementation of their projects. 

At the meeting with Chairman of the youth policy committee of Rostov region Sergey Chuyev, Mayor of Volgodonsk Viktor Firsov and young city businessmen the Governor’s youth team asked questions to the representatives of authorities and received recommendations from entrepreneurs who had already achieved success. 

Both Sergey Chuyev and Viktor Firsov agreed that: “The authorities are ready to support endeavors of the young, but they must be the source of initiative and proposals”. Press Secretary, Head of Rostov NPP Public Information Centre Alexander Shaferov noted: “I’m glad that events like this take place with the participation of the Information Centre of the nuclear power plant. Rostov NPP always supports undertakings of young people and is ready to render assistance in bringing their ideas to life”.
