Rostov NPP workers have taken part in the festival of bard songs called “Strings of Soul”

On June 15-17, 2011 XIII interregional festival of bard songs called “Strings of Soul” was held in Romanov Cossack village of Volgodonsk district. It is a bright and full-scale event in the culture life of Rostov region. Rostov NPP was among the festival founders.

The festival geography is more than wide. This year the Don land welcomed the authors and singers from 12 subjects of the Russian Federation: Rostov and Volgograd regions, Krasnodar territory, Kalmykia and Bashkortostan Republics, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Suzdal, St. Petersburg and Moscow cities and Moscow region. Bards from Ukraine and the Republic of Nigeria also came to compete in the art of songs. Totally, 182 singers took part in the festival.

Having entered the committee, RoNPP management and employees took an active part in the festival organization at the stage of preparation. Financial support had been rendered and the work of the nuclear plant mobile information centre had been organized. The NPP management headed by the Director Alexander Palamarchuk was among the honorable guests.

This year the festival Grand Prix went to the singer from Volgograd Alexander Seryakov. Nuclear Plant Director Alexander Palamarchuk handed a special prize from Rostov NPP to bard Oksana Varushkina (Volzhsky city) – the winner in the nomination “The Best Singer”. Alexander Zaitsev from Rostov-On-Don was given a prize from Rosenergoatom Concern; he became the prize winner in the nomination “The Earth through the Porthole”.

Performance of VIA (vocal and instrumental ensemble) “Sinyaa Ptitsa” became the present to the festival participants and guests. The festival was finished with convivial fireworks.
