Rostov NPP sportsmen have become bronze prize winners of the Russian Championship on close fight

The sportsmen of Rostov NPP team won two bronze medals in the Championship of Russia on close fight among juniors, which was held in June 9-12 in Yessentuki City.

The strongest fighters from 22 subjects of the Russian Federation – young men and women at the age up to 23 – took part in the competition. The team of Rostov NPP was presented by six sportsmen.

According to the competition results the team of Rostov NP won two bronze medals. Ivan Gnelitsky became the bronze prize winner among the young men in the weight category under 70 kg. Among the girls in the weight category under 60 kg Ekaterina Rotova became the third prize winner.

According to the Championship results, its gold and silver prize winners were included into the country team on close fight main body. Bronze prize winners were included into reserve list.

Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. The nuclear plant has two operating power units of VVER-1000-type reactors with installed capacity of 1,000 MW. Power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power unit No 2 – in December, 2010.
