Rostov NPP generated more than 2 billion kWh of electric energy in January

In January 2017 Rostov NPP generated 2,131.1 million kWh of electric energy. Load ratio totaled 95.48% in January.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia has approved a plan for electric energy generation for Rostov NPP in 2017 in the amount of 22,940 million kWh of electric energy.

At the present time Rostov NPP’s power units No 1, 2, and 3 operate in design basic condition under the operations schedule.
Power unit No 4 is under construction.


Radiation background at the NPP and off-site area does not exceed natural background level.

The power block No. 4 is planned to be launched in 2017.

The Rostov NPP is an affiliate company for Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is based at the Tsymlianskoe reservoir shore 13.5 km away from Volgodonsk. The NPP operates VVER-1000 reactors with the installed capacity of 1000 megawatts. The power block No.1 commenced commercial operations in 2001, with the second and the third power blocks to follow in 2010 and on September 17, 2015, respectively. The power block No. 4 is currently under construction.
